Though these duck and duck-adjacent sculptures may not appear in your local pond, these fun feathered friends are appearing on porches, front entrances, and bathrooms near you—whether you've noticed or not.

Beginning in 2019, duck sculptures had been making their comeback. A curio found in your local tourist trap shops and thrift stores. After stores reopened in 2021, a spark was lit to a fire of burning passion for these cute quackers.

"I just couldn't resist them" said local Louise "I HAD to have them!"

She left the shop with a duck with boots for her bathroom. She was shortly thereafter gifted a Batman themed duck as a companion, and returned the next year to snag a pirate duck.

It's not just ducks with boots, the Duckana from London Drugs was such a hit in BC in 2022, there have been Facebook, Meetup, and friend groups arranged to gather and show off their fruit-themed-fowl. Cruise Ducks have also made the news headlines.

Porch Geese have been a tradition for a while, so one may wonder if this new fad has roots based in tradition. Whether or not it's true, we do know for sure that this bird has won the hears of many across North America.
